บทบาทของนักการศึกษาปฐมวัยที่มีหน้าที่รับผิดชอบในการออกแบบและการใช้หลักสูตรในการให้ความรู้และการดูแลเด็กปฐมวัย  การดำเนินการภายใต้กรอบการเรียนรู้ มาตรฐานคุณภาพแห่งชาติ 

การจบการศึกษาหลักสูตร  Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care  จาก GBCA จะช่วยให้นักเรียนเก็บหน่วยกิต ประมาณ 24 หน่วยกิต

ซึ่งสามารถเข้าเรียนต่อในหลักสูตรปริญญาของมหาวิทยาลัยตามนี้ : 

• Bachelor of Early Childhood and Primary Education at University of Canberra
• Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) at Swinburne University of Technology

รูปแบบการเรียนการสอน จะมีการวัดและการประเมินที่หลากหลายตลอดหลักสูตร  เช่น การตอบคำถามแบบสั้น การสอบจากสถานการณ์จริง การสังเกตการเรียนการสอน  โครงงาน และนักเรียนจะต้องสำเร็จการฝึกงานอย่างน้อย 240 ชั่วโมงเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของข้อกำหนดของหลักสูตร

คุณสมบัติของผู้สมัคร 

• Minimum of IELTS 6.0 (academic) or equivalent, 
• Successfully complete the GBCA ELICOS program: English for Academic Purposes 2 (EAP2)
• Year 12 or Certificate III in ECC
